In addition to Pepero Day on November 11th, (see the November 30th blog post for more on this) on February 14th, Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Korea. On this day, women are expected to give gifts, usually a box of nice chocolates, to the special man in their lives. Then on March 14th, the men recipients return the favor and give gifts to the woman in their lives. Singles are not forgotten too. They celebrate on April 14th by getting together and eating a dish of noodles stirred in white and black bean sauce that signifies bringing luck to their love life.

We celabrate it only on Feburary 14th. But your valentines celebration is really interesting and I think thats is very nice that you guys explained to us about your traditional valentines day.
Hello friends in Korea,
We liked reading about the different ways that women, men, and singles celebrate Valentine's Day. Maybe this year on March 14th the boys in our class will bring chocolate for the girls in our class. And all the single kids can go eat noodles to find a boyfriend or girlfriend. Did all the boys get something special on February 14th from the girls?
Hey Korea friends,
I like how on February 14th the girls are expected to give a nice box of chocolates to their special guy I think thats really sweet and on March 14th it's the girls turn thats really cute. Also that the singles are also not forgotten. I was wondering do you guies give anything to the parents on these special days too. Well in California we celebrate only in February 14th only mostly this day is a day for the couples to show how much they love there other half by giving them flowers, teddy bears, chocalates, and etc.
I think the difference about how you guys celebrate valentines day is very interesting from how we celebrate it,but I think it still the same thing because you still have to give something special to who you love.should we try some day to get together and eat noodles?
